Arthur E. Budzowski, of Girard, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Fairview Manor.

Art was born March 17, 1931 in New Castle, PA, a son of the late Edward and Mary (Warso) Budzowski.

He graduated from Edinboro High School in 1948. Following his graduation he enlisted in the US Navy where he served aboard the USS Mattabesset (AOG-52), sailing to Labrador, Nova Scotia, Mediterranean Sea, and the Azores fueling ships and airplanes. Following his honorable discharge from the military as a Petty Officer 3rd Class, Art returned home to Edinboro and began studying at Edinboro State Teachers College, (now Edinboro University), graduating in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in History/Geography. Following graduation he began selling mobile homes in the Erie area and later co-founded Lake City Housing where he acted as President, until his retirement in 1990.

Art enjoyed fishing at many places throughout the United States and Canada.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie R. (Beal) Budzowski, whom he married January 20, 1954 in Ripley, NY, also by two daughters, Bobbi K. Bann of Connellsville, PA and Pamela R. Sage also of Connellsville; a sister, Carole Lupka of McDonald, PA; a brother, Benjamin Budzowski (Kay) of Cave Creek, AZ; his grandchildren, Jordan Conde and Cherise Offner; great grandchild, Breille Offner; nephews, Barry Budzowski (Kathleen) of Overland Park, KS, and Charles Lupka of Mt. Pleasant, PA, Michael Budzowski of AZ; nieces, Becky Hall (Randy) of Tigard, OR and Mary Beth Madalinsky (Robert) of McDonald, PA.

No calling hours will be observed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 28, at 11:00 AM, at the Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main Street East, Girard, PA with the Rev. John Gerber officiating.
