Scott Allen Schrubb, 42 originally of Erie, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday January 12, 2017 at his home.
 He was born April 8, 1974 in Erie, a son of Leslie  "Butch" Michalski (Margaret)  Michalski of Grand Bay, AL. and the late Frances (Schrubb) Simmers.
 Scott was raised and educated in Erie attending Academy High School. He also graduated from the Pittsburgh Culinary Institute. He began his career as a Chef in Uncasville, CT., where he worked at the "Michael Jordan Steakhouse" in Foxwoods Casino. He also worked at Presque Isle Downs as a Chef at La Bonne
 Vie in Erie; Giant Eagle in Harborcreek as a Sous Chef and most recently been employed by Emergycare as a Wheelchair Transporter, in training to be an EMT.
 Scott loved Steelhead fishing on the creeks and streams of Erie County, archery hunting and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
 Throughout his life, Scott loved many things, but his family was always his priority.
 He will be greatly missed by his family, which in addition to his father include his three children, Fawn M. Schrubb, Scott A. Schrubb Jr., Colin R. Schrubb; the children's mother,  Lynda (Gamet) Schrubb; his significant other, Jessica Simkovitch with whom he resided; a sister, Michelle L. Moreash (Bryan) of Clymer, NY; four brothers, Leslie L. Michalski and Fiance' Sherry Kendzierski, of Clymer, NY, Fritz C. Michalski (Kristen) of Lake City, Brian D. Schrubb (Alyssa) of Grove City, Brent G. Basham (Jennifer) of Erie; his step father John Simmers of WV and many nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call on Monday at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard from 2 to 4p.m. and from 6 to the time of service at 8p.m
 In lieu of flowers , memorials may be made to the Scott Schrubb Memorial Fund, C/O Edder Funeral Home.
