I am greatly sadden by this news. I had the pleasure to work with Brandon for several months when he worked as an intern with USG. He and I sat side by side and worked together on several projects. During this period, I got to know Brandon well and we shared many things not only about work, but about life as well. Brandon is wonderful soul that I will meet again in our soul travels. I am thankful to have been fortunate enough to know this young man in this lifetime. To his parents I can only say that there are no words that can express the depth and gravity of the pain and void that we feel when losing someone who becomes a part of us in this life. I can say this from experience. We do not understand these things and we do not get over such loss in our lives....we simply endure the pain and try to get through one day, and then another. Know this, your son was and still is a wonderful soul. Life is often more difficult than what we can bear and I suspect that Brandon had more than his share of these difficulties. I will pray that God strengthens you during this great time of loss and sadness. You will see him again.

One of the hardest things I had to do as a parent was to agree for Brandon to go to Texas for the internship in only his Junior year of college. He was persistent and after meeting the fine folks at USG I felt a bit more comfortable letting him stay. Please tell everyone, Thank you from me!
I appreciate all the support you and the people at USG gave Brandon. Including helping him with a flat tire on the way to work!
It means so much that you understand and express that Brandon has a wonderful soul. I know he was Gentle, Loving and Kind. His pain was unbearable and Brandon wanted to be independent. I have been struggling to explain how I feel, thank you for the words, the depth and gravity of the pain is indescribable. I look forward to seeing him again.

Mr. Braun,
You have no idea how much I appreciate you, and the school, allowing Brandon to join you during your trip to Europe. Since his passing I have thanked God many times that you gave him the opportunity.
Throughout Brandon’s life there were very few things he really wanted, however, to go to Germany and speak with fluent Germans was one. I am so happy he went, even with the mischievous stories’ I learned later. Katie!!!
