Willard Lawson, 75 of Cranesville, died Tuesday June 28, 2016 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Judge Lawson and his mother, Julia Turner; also by his parents who raised him, George and Ole Hayes of Jackson, KY; additionally by his infant daughter, Araina Lee Lawson, a grandson, a great grandson James Poff and his brother Harold Hayes and step mother, Audrey Lawson.

Willard will be greatly missed by his family, which include his wife and life long partner, Judie (Irwin) Lawson; two sons, Bill Lawson (Lisa) of Van Wert, OH, John McDivitt (Sarah) and family of Spencer, OH; three daughters, Debbie Lawson of West Springfield, Patty Curtis of East Springfield, Jan Boderocco of Cranesville; his grandchildren, Mellisa, Gary, Tisha, Jacob, Julie, Katelyn, Megan, Holly and Abby. Also surviving are six great grandchildren, Sammie, Brittany, Abbey, Mattie, Devon and Breeya. They were the apple’s of his eye. Also by brothers, Michael Lawson (Denise) and family of Erie, Daryl Lawson (Chris) of OH; sisters, Linda Grover (Tim) and family of Cochranton, Patsy Shay (Fred) and family of Pittsburgh and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He worked in Plastic Manufacturing for 37 years, 25 years as a Foreman. Willard was a member of the First Alliance Church of Erie, where he served as an Usher. He was a team leader with his wife, involved in a nursing home ministry for 38 years and a member of the 55 Adults team. He enjoyed flea markets, being with his grandchildren, loved working outside and helping others.

Friends and family may call on Thursday from 6PM to 8PM at Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. Futher calling will be held on Friday from 10AM until the time of Service at 11AM at the First Alliance Church of Erie, 2939 Zimmerly Rd., Erie Pa 16506 with Rev. David Snyder Officiating.

Memorials may be made to the First Alliance Church or to the Regional Cancer Center, 2500 W. 12th St., Erie, PA 16505
