Michael E. Rea, 22 of Girard, passed away on Monday April 18, 2016 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

 He was born in Erie September 18, 1993 a son of Edward A. and Naomi (Davis) Rea of Girard.

 Mike graduated from the Girard High School in 2012, where he was in the honor roll many times and sang in the High School Choir where he was lead role in the musical, “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.”

 He enjoyed listening to music, learning to play the guitar and had always enjoyed cooking.

 Mike was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother, Theresa Davis and his Paternal Grandfather, Robert L. Rea.

 Mike will be greatly missed by his family, which included his parents, Edward and Naomi (Davis) Rea of Girard; his sisters, Emily Hummel (Matthew) of Jefferson Hills, PA, his twin sister, Molly Weaver (Tyler) of Girard ; Maternal Grandfather, Robert L. Davis of Zephyr Hills, FL; Paternal Grandmother, Arlys Rea of Girard; his nephew, Elliot Weaver as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

 Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held there on Thursday at 10Am with Pastor Ed Huntley Officiating.

 Burial will be in the Springfield Cemetery.

 In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Michael Rea Memorial Fund C/O Edder Funeral Home.
