Kathern "Paulean" Yazembiak

Kathern "Paulean" (Dean) Baldwin Yazembiak, 70 of Platea, passed away on Tuesday July 4, 2017 at UPMC Hamot following an extended illness.
 She was born in Elkridge, WV, a daughter of the late Ernest C. and Carshul M. (Willey) Dean.
 Paulean graduated from Northwestern High School in 1965 and began studying nursing at Erie County Hospital (now Pleasant Ridge Manor). She received  her Advanced Nursing Assistant Certification from Erie County Hospital and worked there for 27 years in that capacity. Paulean also worked in home health care and retired in 2010.
  She was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church in Cranesville where she was active since she was six years old in Bethel Bells  for over 59 years. Her favorite pastimes included crafts, crocheting, knitting and macramé. She loved being with her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Dennis Baldwin Sr.; her son, Wayne Dennis Baldwin Jr.; and by her granddaughter, Alysia H. Baldwin on May 15, 2010. She was also preceded by a brother Ernie L. Dean and a sister Edith "Karen" McConegly.
  Paulean is survived by her husband, Nicholas "Nick" Yazembiak Jr., whom she married on May 18, 1996 in Platea; her son, Brian M. Baldwin and his wife, Lucira of Platea; and stepdaughter, Theresa Knieriem and her husband, Harold of Brunswick, OH. She is also survived by her siblings, Eathel R. Dean and his wife Viola of Ravenna, OH, Helen Barko of Eastlake, OH, Della Natola and her husband Charles of Brook Park, OH, Elizabeth Tallman and her husband Ken of Platea, Jean Clevenger and her husband Al of Elkhart, IN., and Eva "Mickey" Wolff of Lake City. She is further survived by her beloved grandchildren, Alexis F. Baldwin, Michael E. Baldwin, step grandsons Sean G. Andrews and Codey Knieriem, and step granddaughter Mickayla Knieriem; and many nieces and nephews.
 Services will be held privately by the family.
 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel Presbyterian Church, 8990 Crane Rd., Cranesville, PA 16410
