Denise P. (First) Sult, 81 formerly of Millcreek, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 24, 2016 at Manchester Presbyterian Lodge.

She was born in Butler, Pa., a daughter of the late Roy and Lela Goodwin First.

Denise worked at the Ervite Corp. from 1977 to 1991 in the machine shop and assembly area. After 1991, she worked part-time for various companies in the Erie area until 1997 to the present, where she was employed part-time as an administrative assistant for Erie United Methodist Alliance. Later in life she attended and graduated from Tri-State Business Institute. She later worked at Target where she was a well known cashier and also the Rainbow Connection on Buffalo Road.

Denise was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Erie, where she assisted in the nursery and attended to shut-ins from the church. Her family was always her first priority in her life, and she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death in 2011 by her husband, Clarence Sult, whom she married on December 29, 1973 in Erie.; her daughter, Patricia Fromknecht; and her sister, Gloria Boe.

She will be deeply missed by daughters, Nadine Cornman (Jonathan Oleson) of Summitt Twp., Karen Liebel (Robert) of Lake City; Lynette Heintzel ( Jim); son, Jeff Craig of Girard; sisters Trudie, and Vernie, half sisters Chris and Judy; brother, Roy First ( Marilyn) or Erie; her grandchildren, Steven, Jimmy, Shelley, Melanie, Jon, Jennifer, William, Jon, Sean ,Jessica; many great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Saturday at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard from 12 noon until the time of the service there at 2PM with Rev.John Gerber officiating.

Burial will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
