William Smith Obituary

William "Bill" H. Smith, 69, of Fairview, passed away June 25, 2021 at Fairview Manor. Bill was born to the late George T. and Lelia M. Stine Smith on July, 17, 1951, in Erie.

 He was a graduate of from McDowell High School class of 1970. After graduation Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force he was a security policeman for 4 years. He was part of squadron 377th SPS in the Republic of Vietnam, and 322nd SPS in Germany. Upon his honorable discharge from the military he began working for Lakeport Distributors, where he worked for 33 years.

 Bill enjoyed hunting, cooking and being in the outdoors.

 In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son Travis in 2009.

 Bill leaves behind a daughter, Tiffany Smith of Ohio; two sisters Sara Jane Games of Erie, and Barbara Stoll and her husband Jim of California; two brothers George Smith Jr. and Paula of Fairview and August Smith and his wife Joan of Fairview; as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard, on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 1 pm.
