Wesley James Eaton

A golden heart stopped beating, working hands to rest. The final wrench has been turned at Eatons Auto & Small Engine. Wesley James Eaton, 54, of East Springfield, died Monday, March 21,2022 at his home surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on June 17, 1967, in Erie, a son of Roger L. and Janet L (Knief) Eaton.
Wes graduated from the Northwestern Senior High School in 1985. During high school he attended and excelled in auto mechanics at Erie County Vo-Tech. 
Following high school he began employment in the auto industry with his grandfather, Rex Eaton, who was the original owner of  Eaton’s Auto & Small Engine in 1932. Wes continued his grandfathers legacy of the family business and helped countless people with their car care and other maintenance problems.
He was a long-time member of the Springfield Fire Dept., loved to fish, enjoyed auto racing, was Vice-President of the tractor pull committee for the Albion Fair, assisted at the horse shows and most of all loved spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Roxane E. (Mitchell) Eaton, whom he married September 26, 1992, in Girard; his daughter, Emily D. Eaton; son, Daniel T. Fehr (Jennifer); two brothers, Curtis Eaton (Betty Jo) and Jeffrey Eaton (Noreen); his grandchildren, Zoey, Raiden, Trenton and Ryder; several aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews as well as many, many special friends.
Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard and attend services there on Friday at 10 A.M. with Rev. Alison Berkey officiating.
