Virginia R. "Ginny" (Fails) Angerer, 83, of Girard, went home to the Lord on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at LECOM Senior Living Center.
She was born January 19,1943 in Conneaut, Ohio, a daughter of the late William and Alice (Shaffer) Fails.
She was raised and educated in the Albion area, graduating from Northwestern High School in 1961, where she sang in high school choir and also for district chorus. Raising her family, and being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother was her priority. She was a member of the Federated Church of East Springfield where she sang in the choir.
The loves in Ginny's life were first her savior, Jesus Christ, her husband, her children and grandchildren. She loved working with children, singing, flower gardening and creating photo albums of her family. She was a member of Koinonia #52 and #75. Her prayer is for all she knows and loves to come to know Jesus as Savior.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2003 by her husband of 41 years, William J. "Bill" Angerer; her sisters, Joanne Cushman,Wanda L. Whalen and Zella M. Goodenow and Mary E. Malliard ; her brothers, Ralph B. Fails and Paul R. Fails and her grandson, Eric Mattson.
She is survived by a daughter, Angella "Angie" Mattson (Steve) of Lake City; three sons, Patrick W. Angerer of Conneaut, OH, David M. Angerer of Erie, and Daniel J. Angerer (Sherri) of Conneaut, OH; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Thursday, March 19, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Edder Family Funeral Home, 309 Main St. E., Girard, PA. Funeral services will be held the next morning, Friday, March 20, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Springfield Cemetery.
