Timothy Taylor Obituary

Timothy John Taylor, 72, entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 11, 2025. His family and friends will deeply miss his kind heart and loving soul; he was a man who graciously opened his home to anyone in need.

Tim was a graduate of Wattsburg High School, Class of 1970.  He then enlisted into the United States Marine Corps serving with the Assault Amphibian Battalion. He was an Amtrak crew man serving over one year overseas. In 1972 he was Honorably Discharged and returned home. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado. His professional career included serving as a Business Manager at the Department of Environmental Protection and as Chief Financial Officer at Warren State Hospital.

Tim was an avid outdoorsman who found serenity in nature. He loved hunting and cherished the time he spent in the wilderness. His passion for golf spanned his entire life, and he often shared the game with friends and family. Beyond the golf course and the woods, Tim’s love for life extended to fishing, hiking, and exploring the great outdoors, where he felt most at peace.

Tim took great pride in being his own financial advisor, a role he embraced with dedication and skill. He was meticulous and strategic, deriving immense satisfaction from the fruits of his careful planning and expertise.

Coaching his sons in their childhood sporting endeavors was one of Tim’s greatest joys. Whether cheering from the sidelines or guiding them as their coach, he poured his heart into fostering their growth and success. This love and dedication defined his relationship with his four sons and continued into the next generation as he became an active and loving grandfather to his four grandsons. He delighted in sharing stories, teaching life lessons, and creating cherished memories with them.

Tim is survived by his loving wife and constant companion, Denise; his sons Timmy, Ryan, and Brendan (Emily); his mother, Geraldine; his sister, Mary (Lou); his brother, Tracy; and his four grandsons, Jackson, Julian, Forrest, and Cooper. He is also survived by many other family members and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael; his father, Clifford; his sister, Holly; and his stepfather, Bill.

Tim was beloved by many friends from various walks of life, all of whom bid him farewell with deep sadness.
