We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Edder Funeral Home, Inc.
Terry W. Suscheck, 61, of Girard, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at UPMC Hamot following a sudden illness.
He was born in Conneaut, OH, the son of the late William and Patricia A. (Fiala) Suscheck.
Terry attended Erie County Vo-Tech studying Drafting and worked at Copes- Vulcan in Lake City in the Drafting Department prior to graduating from Girard High School in 1977. Following high school, he worked at Cycle City in Wesleyville, General Electric and then the Lord Corporation in Aero Space design. He later was employed at Stewart & Stevenson (now BAE) in Sealy, TX, in the manufacture of military 2 and ½ ton and 10-ton dump trucks. He later moved to Newville, PA and worked for Volvo CE Construction in Shippensburg, PA. He returned home to Girard and worked as a contractor for Batelle Memorial Institute, designing vehicles for the Unites States Secret Service. He most recently had been employed by Wabtec in Erie as a Catalog Author, designing the online parts catalog for the new locomotives.
He enjoyed fixing anything and seemed to always have a solution for everyday challenges, making complicated processes, simple. Terry was proud of his employment career and how he had been a part of some very interesting projects throughout his career. He loved all things that ran on gas or diesel and especially old tractors.
Terry will be greatly missed by his family, which include his wife, Kirsten D. (Kalicky) Suscheck, whom he married June 28, 2003 in Girard, his daughters, Jessica Hall (Clinton) of Greensburg, PA and Linda M. Courtney (Jeremy Park) of Jefferson, OH; a sister, Sherri Spencer (Bill) of Ellicott City, MD; a grandson, Aziz Al-Shaikhli; several nieces, nephews and many loving cousins.
Friends may call on Saturday from 2 P.M. to the time of a Prayer Service at 5 P.M. at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St., East, Girard, PA 16417.
