Terry L. Linsted, 71, of Fairview, died unexpectedly, Sunday, May 15, 2022 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA.
He was born on May 10, 1951 in Youngstown, OH, a son of the late James and Mary Lou (Wessell) Linsted.
Terry graduated from Titusville High School and enjoyed playing football for the Rockets. Following high school he attended Gannon University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. While at Gannon, he was a member of the Delta-Chi Fraternity, where he made many friendships lasting to this day. During college he began working at the Rehrig-Pacific Company, where he remained for the next 40 years as the Production Coordinator, retiring from there in 2012.
Terry was a lifelong bowler in many leagues at Westway, Greengarden and Rolling Meadow Lanes. While he never achieved the perfect 300 game, he came close many times, and was famous for always leaving the 10 pin He was an avid golfer and loved to play at all the various courses throughout our area. After retirement he enjoyed traveling, especially to Arizona, Florida and the many MLB baseball parks across the country. He was also a lifelong Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.
He will be greatly missed by his friends and family, which includes his loving wife, Christine L. (Chappel) Linsted, whom he married on August 19, 1972 in Titusville, PA; two daughters, Kelli R. Linsted (Michael Brown) and Ashlee R. Homansky (Matt); a son, Jason C. Linsted; brothers, James Linsted (Cindy) and Russell Linsted (Penny); his dear aunt and uncle, Joanne and Bus Toy; grandchildren, Madison Blank (fiance, Dustin Roesch) and Makenna Homansky; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main Street East, Girard, from 2:00 pm to the time of a brief service at 4:30 pm.
