Sandra (Bennett) Campbell

Sandra (Bennett) Campbell, 72, of Girard, lost her battle with cancer on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

She was born on September 17, 1949 a daughter to the late James and Doris (Fredrychowski) Bennett. 

Sandy grew up in Waterford, graduating from Fort LeBouf High School in 1967. Shortly following high school she began a family and was blessed to be able to stay at home with her son. She loved living in the peaceful country side. Sandy was a homebody with her husband and enjoyed cooking. She often experimented with new recipes enjoying homemade meals but was not opposed to a night out once in awhile. Sandy liked to bring friends and family together for events and celebrations at her home. Sandy and her husband traveled on occasion enjoying their vacations as a family. She was also a dog lover and grew very fond of her dogs over the years. 

Sandy worked at Erie Insurance when her son began growing older. She stayed with the company for over twenty years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Campbell, whom she married on Valentines Day 1998 in Erie; two brothers, Gary and William Bennett.

She will be greatly missed by her family which include her son, Michael J. Hooker; brothers, Ronald Bennett (Janice), Mark Bennett (Terry Lazenby), Scott Bennett  (Paul Yelton) and James Bennett (Rose); sisters, Helen "Dolly" Bowen and Shirley Ferraro; grandchildren, Savannah and Henry Hooker. 

Friends may call on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to the time of the Memorial Service at 12:00 noon at the Edder Funeral Home Inc., Girard. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
