Roy Lovin Obituary

Roy V. Lovin, 63, died on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Titusville Healthcare Rehabilitation Center.
Roy was born on January 19, 1958, a son to the late Fred and Emma (Bateman) Lovin. Roy graduated from Fairview High School in 1977. Following high school, he began working with Koppers Fabricators Inc., which later became Erie Coke Corporation, where he was a laborer and ore bridge operator. Most recently he worked with Zurn Industries until his retirement.
Roy was a remarkably patient man, not easy to temper or annoy. This patience assisted him throughout his life, most frequently seen in his hunting. Roy started hunting at a very early age and fell in love with nature coming to life before his eyes. He was a local trapper and squirrel hunter in addition to traveling anywhere in the United States four wheels could get him, hunting big game. He was an outdoorsman through and through, often fishing and catching frogs.
On all accounts Roy stayed in touch with family. He always took the time to help those who were less fortunate opening his home to many, as well as being a well-equipped wood worker Roy was also very acquainted with different varieties of trees and was able to identify them as he walked.
Roy will be greatly missed by his family which includes his daughters, Ronda Lovin-Rivera (Samuel) and Kassie Lamp; son, Roy V. Lovin Jr.; sisters, Louise Lovin Salhoff, Linda Kalman and Marsha Jones (Benjamin); brothers, John Lovin (Nena), Edward Lovin (Debbie) and Jack Petri (Brenda); grandchildren, Mialoni Deluca-Rivera, Janette Rivera, Ninoshka Rivera, Emiliana Rivera, Dayanara Rivera, Santino Rivera, Kasper Lovin, Ayden Perrone and Trevor Lamp; great-grandchildren, Emiah James and Dior Rivera; niece, Jasmine Lovin; former fiance, Brenda Lamp; longtime friend, Jim and Pamela Smith; as well as many loving family members.
