Robin F. (List) Byers

Robin F. Byers (List), 65, of Girard, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at LECOM Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
 
She was born in Erie on August 8, 1959, to Leroy J. List, Sr. and Mona A. (Snedden) List.

Robin attended Seneca High School and graduated in 1977. Following high school, she held numerous jobs until deciding to go back to school. She attended Great Lakes Institute of Technology in 2006, obtaining her certificate in Phlebotomy. After that, she secured a position at Associated Clinical Laboratories (ACL) in Erie where she stayed for a few years before landing her dream position at UPMC Hamot. She worked at Hamot until 2011.
 
In her free time, Robin enjoyed playing card games, crocheting, coloring, and drawing. But, most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family.
 
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Byers, two sisters, Kathleen List and Patricia Mahoney and brother-in-law, Ralph Luke.
 
Robin is survived by her daughter, Stacie Owens (Bobby) and her son, Matthew Byers, four grandchildren: Dmitrius, Kobe, Zebediah and Paigelyn Owens, two stepdaughters: Teresa Wiler (Blaine) and Tracy Byers, their children: Melanie, Amanda (Chris), Karla, Chance and William Jr. (Amanda) along with three great grandchildren. Robin was the youngest of Leroy and Mona’s eight children. She is survived by five of her siblings, Mary Jane Thieme (Rob), Leroy J. (Buzz) List, Jr. (Kathy), John Carson List (Betty), Judy Anne Chatt (Lenny) and Paul R. List (Jessie). She is furthered survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Robin’s life at a memorial service being held in her honor on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Church of Jesus Christ in God, 1706 Poplar Street, Erie, PA 16502 at 12:00 pm.
