Richard Lee "Rick" Vogel

Richard Lee "Rick" Vogel, 75, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, at his daughter’s home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 7, 1948, a son to the late Harold Vogel Sr. and Jean (Boart) Vogel. 
Rick grew up in the Erie area known to be a mischievous trio with his brothers. He knew early on that he would work with his hands. Stepping out on his own he created Fashion House Flooring, placing a firm base under many family homes in Erie County. He moved on to Cape Coral, Florida in 1991 where he again endeavored as an entrepreneur creating Floors 4 U. During his time in Florida, he mentored many young men and women in the field of construction. This was a proud legacy he left. His customers adored him. 
He loved to go to the races, NASCAR was a favorite pass time that he invited all to join with him in. He also could be found at local casinos playing his luck at the “Let it Ride” table. He will be remembered for his generosity to those around him and the kindness in his heart to help anyone in need. Rick was a family man and continued to step forward to be a part of his loved one’s lives including his grandchildren’s. The youngest and newest members of the family kept Rick young even as he tired, those he adored, loved and even spoiled. He enjoyed traveling to visit family many miles away and was a thread that kept everyone together. He will remain in memories and our hearts as “Forever Young”. 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard Lee “Ricky” Vogel Jr. and his brother John Vogel. 
He will be greatly missed by his family which include his daughters, Renee Vogel, Richelle Grassi, Suzanna Vogel and Brittany Vogel (Harold "Charlie" Groel); brothers, Harold Vogel Jr. and Michael Vogel; grandchildren, John, Luka, Finn, Matthew, AnnaBella, Kendall, Branson, Brock and Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Jaxton and Aurora; as well as several nieces and nephews. 
Services are being held privately by the family.
