Richard J. Pruchniewski Sr., 76, of Lake City, PA, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday September 29, 2022.
He was born December 31, 1945 to the late Edward and Phyllis Pruchniewski.
Rich graduated from Wattsburg High School in 1964. From that point he knew where he was headed and began his career at Lord Corporation. Starting as a machine operator he continually strived working long hours. Rich then became the head of research and design creating parts for military use. He led the set up of multiple new branches for Lord; staying there over forty years and retiring from a job well done.
Rich was also a man that loved his dogs, two “Yorkies” named Timmy and Lilly. He always made time for his family; taking trips to Cook Forest State Park to go hiking and camping or visiting his brothers camp at Chapman Dam. Rich enjoyed tossing a ball, swimming, and fishing with his boys on local creeks and ponds. He loved to spend time outdoors gardening and working in his yard. Rich was also an avid fan of NASCAR and the Cleveland Browns; as well as enjoying an ice cold beer!
In addition to his parents Rich was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and Thomas Pruchniewski.
He will be greatly missed by his family which include his wife Patsy (Brown) Pruchniewski whom he married June 3, 1967; his three sons, Rick (Kimberly), Joe (Jennifer), and Michael Pruchniewski; a daughter, Kelly Bokros (Jeff); and eight grandchildren, Matthew, Jason, Emma, Andrea, and Jadyn Pruchniewski, Jeffrey and Jordan Bokros, and Samantha Lockhart (Zack).
