Rebecca A. (Andreo) Wright

Rebecca A. (Andreo) Wright, 66 of Girard, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born in Greensburg, PA, and a daughter of the late Peter J. and Helen R. (Solsky) Andreo, Rebecca graduated from Yough High School, Herminie, PA in 1973; she later graduated from Seton Hill College.
She first taught in Dubois, PA in the Catholic Schools, spent a few years in Oil City raising her extremely attractive sons, and moved to Girard in 1987. She resumed teaching at St. John’s, taught later at Sacred Heart, and retired from Teaching at St. Luke’s. During her retirement, she volunteered for AmeriCorps at Rice Avenue Middle School in Girard.
As a singer and guitarist, Rebecca was occasionally asked to lend her talents to weddings and events of family and friends. She loved reading and listening to audiobooks and was a regular at the area’s premier breakfast establishments. To meet her, you might find yourself regaled with tales of true crime or the merits Doctor Who. She was proud of her family, enjoyed celebrating their accomplishments, and was a mother to many. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Guy Johns.
She will be greatly missed by her family, which includes her four sons, Christian P. Wright (Lisa) of Flower Mound, TX, Daniel I. Wright (Alecia) of Lower Burrell, PA, Jonathan R. Wright of Union City, PA, Nicholas A. Wright (Jenevieve) of Pittsburgh, PA; three sisters, Audean Bryan (Denny), Debby Thompson, Christine Thompson; a half sister, Donna Johns-Thomas (Beth Johns-Thomas); a brother, Stanley “Butch” Johns (Sandy); grandchildren, David, Epic, Kepler, Sagan, Wren, McKenzie, Owen, Madelyn and Kellan; and many nieces/nephews and great-nieces/nephews.
Funeral Services will be held privately at this time. A public service will be announced at a later, safer time.
Burial will be in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
