Penelope "Penny" Angerer Swartwood Lindsay, age 78, was born November 20, 1946, in Erie, PA, the daughter of Betty May (Brown) Angerer and Frederick Joseph Angerer. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Penny was a native of Girard, PA, who attended Union High School and graduated from Edinboro University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Her hobbies included painting, jewelry making, and tailoring. She also enjoyed junk-picking and restoring her finds.
In addition to her parents, Penny was predeceased by an infant sister Tina Marie Angerer. Her surviving family includes her sister Colleen (Angerer) Moran and her children; her son Adam Swartwood and his wife Dianne and their children Zackary Feldmann, Tayler Swartwood and fiancé Ryan Drost; her daughter Erin Anderson and husband John McGee and her children Shane Marshall, Donivan Marshall, Noah Anderson, and Skylar Anderson; her daughter Wendy Penwell and husband Robert "Boo" Penwell and their children Shelby Hall and her husband Justin Hall, Nicholas Bloom and his significant other Taylor Johnson, and Alex Penwell; her long-time best friend who was like a sister, Cheryl Gainey; and friends and neighbors Wally and Jerri.
