Paul "Buddy" Seebacher III Obituary

Paul M. “Buddy” Seebacher III, 68, of Fairview, passed away suddenly, Friday, June 20, 2025, following a brief illness.

He was born January 14, 1957, a son to the late Paul M. Jr. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Habel) Seebacher.

Buddy grew up working alongside his parents at the Girard Café, better known as “Ralphie's”. He graduated from Fairview High School and began to work full time learning the business. Buddy had a heart of gold with an infectious smile that was impossible to miss. His genuine hospitality to customers, who soon became friends, was unwavering. Buddy made a point to shake the hand of everyone who entered, valuing their presence and graciously hosting them. He had a great sense of humor that could spark an uproar of laughter from all who heard it. His love for Jimmy Buffet and Frank Sinatra could always spark up a sing along. While his priority was always Colley, his responsibility was the bar, where he made sure everyone felt welcome.

In his early years, Buddy founded a Ralphie's softball league and competed in dart competitions. Each year, he also organized a large golf tournament, which was always a highlight event. Buddy had a love for fishing and hunting, often wetting a line off his boat in Lake Erie. He was a die-hard Patriots fan, excitedly cheering on his team while serving his customers. When he had the chance, he and his wife Colley would escape to the tropics, vacationing on sunny islands to soak up the heat.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his bonus son, Ricky Michaels III.

Buddy will be greatly missed by his family which includes his wife, Colleen (Totman) Seebacher whom he married on July 17, 1993; bonus daughter, Christy Michaels, daughter Jackie Seebacher; grandchildren, Cade and Ali, and step-sister Paula Cashi.

Colleen would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the Ralphie’s staff and to the many customers for all the love and continued support throughout the years.  And finally, to those that have supported the family in these last weeks, "grateful" is not a big enough word.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
