Paul Carlucci Obituary

Paul D. Carlucci, 67,  died unexpectedly from natural causes on August 10, 2024.  Born August 5, 1957, he was the son of Anthony L. Carlucci and Elizabeth (Panitzke, Carlucci) Alstadt. Paul married Carol Durst (whom he called Susie or “Brown Eyes”) in 1979 and was looking forward to their 45th anniversary  on September 22.  He is survived by his sons Stephen and his wife Hallie Terzopolos of Seattle, and Jonathan and his partner Paul Norton of NYC. His siblings Nancy Carlucci, Patricia Carlucci Territo and her husband Albert, William Carlucci and his wife Mary, and Jeffrey Carlucci as well as many cousins also survive. He has many nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers in law whom he also loved and prayed for frequently.

Paul graduated from Blessed Sacrament School in 1972, Strong Vincent High School in 1976, and Central Bible College in Springfield, MO in 1986.

Though Paul had been substitute teaching in recent years, his main love was sharing the gospel, praying for others and telling others how Christ had been his Redeemer, strength and anchor throughout his adult life.

Paul loved playing basketball and watching sports. He particularly enjoyed having neighbors and friends use the hoop in the driveway whether he was playing with them or not.  His dogs over the years were very special to him and each one had numerous nicknames and their own silly songs.

Visiting will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21 at Family Worship Center, 1201 Parade Street, Erie, and a celebration service will be held there on Thursday, August 22 at 11:00 am.
