Nora B. (Borland) Knorr, 90, of Girard, died on Wednesday December 1, 2021, at UPMC Hamot, surrounded by her family.
She was born June 14, 1931, a daughter to the late John L. and Leora Frances (Cross) Borland Kuhl.
Nora attended Rice Avenue Union High School. Following high school she worked at Marx Toy’s until the time of their closing, her time there was spent as an assembler. She then went on to work at Pleasant Ridge Manor in the kitchen. There she helped in the creation of meals for the many residents in their care. After some illness she went to making meals for employees until her retirement in 1998.
Nora had a love of the people that surrounded her at Pleasant Ridge. Specifically, the young people that she guided through the work life. Nora was very proud of her over 1000 hours dedicated as a volunteer to those residents of Pleasant Ridge.
