Nancy L. Harrington

  Nancy L. (Seeley) Harrington, 89, of Girard, died Wednesday March 9, 2022 at Twinbrook Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in North Girard, PA on August 28, 1932 to the late Hugh and Pauline (Powers) Seeley. She graduated from West Springfield High School in 1950.

  In her younger years, Nancy was a soloist in church and for weddings. She enjoyed listening to many types of music ranging from opera, classical, country and early rock and roll. A woman of strong faith, she read her Bible daily. When asked how she was, she always said, “I am blessed.  I have so much to be thankful for.” 

  In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Andrews; two sisters, Elizabeth Scalise and Rae Stearns; a grandson, Michael McCullough; her former husband, George L. Harrington; sons-in-law Barry Roy and James Moyer; and lifelong friend Erwin Marz.

  Her ability to spread love and kindness in the world will be missed by many. She will be especially missed by her family: daughters, Laura McCullough (James), Susan Moyer (Mark Alexa), and Eileen Roy, and son George “Jay” Harrington; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Greater Erie Community Action Committee, 18 W 9th St. Erie, PA 16501 or to a favorite charity.

  Friends may call on Monday, March 14, 2022 at the Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main Street, Girard, PA from 11:00 a.m. to the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Springfield Cemetery.
