Michael D. Killian

Michael D. Killian, age 63, of Lake City died at his home of heart complications, on Sunday, October 8, 2023. 
He was on born July 15, 1960, a son to the late Richard A. and Audrey J. (Keep) Killian. 
Throughout high school, Mike was a volunteer junior firefighter with the Lake City Fire Department.  After graduating from Girard High School in 1978, Mike balanced his role as a firefighter along with his responsibilities as a skilled butcher and later held a position as a delivery driver for Colorado Prime. After moving to Florida, Mike successfully worked for a landscaping business. Their Florida experience was filled with adventures on the water, frequently taking jet ski rides with the entire family. 
Mike and his wife valued family time, holidays and observing their grandchildren's growth. In their kids' early years, they frequently camped in the countryside with a pop-up camper.  Mike enjoyed the outdoors and when he needed life to pause for a moment, he would retreat to a family camp with his son in Warren, combining their love for nature and hunting pursuits.
Mike will be greatly missed by his family which include his wife, Tracy (Smith) Killian whom he married on April 18, 1981 in Florida; a son, Matt Killian (Emily); daughters, Jennifer Killian (Dan Dibble); and Sarah Plumer (James) sister, Debra Rosenburg (Keith); brothers, Richard A. Killian Jr. (Deb) and Daniel Killian (Tammy); grandchildren, Robert, Madelyn, and Charlotte Killian, Grayson Penzotti, Dalila Dibble, Aubrie Milhomme, Caleb Killian, Lillian, Caroline and Audrey Plummer; as well as several nieces and nephews. 
Friends may call on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 10:00 am until noon at the Lake City United Methodist Church, 10087 Sampson Avenue, Lake City, PA .
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael D. Killian Memorial Fund in care of Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. E., Girard, PA 16417.
