Maurice "Mac" Stiffler, 80 died on Thursday December 8, 2022 at Pleasant Ridge Manor.
He was born November 23, 1942 a son to the late Sidney and Lucille (Lawrence) Stiffler.
Mac grew up in Cranesville, graduating from Northwestern High School in 1960. Following high school Mac worked on the family dairy farm. In the early years he gave every effort to help his family and particularly his father with work outside the farm. For nearly thirty years Mac cared for the live stock and the crops to feed them. He enjoyed making maple syrup each year, hard boiling eggs in the hot sap. Mac was involved in the Albion Fair Tractor Pull Board. He often participated in the tractor pulls and had rebuilt multiple tractor engines. Mac was a member of the Pennsylvania Future Farmers of America.
He was man that loved to make jokes and tease with the family. He always smiled and was affectionately known as "The Kid". Mac loved to play card games around a table with a cup of coffee always in hand. Living on the farm there were house flies often, Mac could snatch them out of the air with a single hand.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Doris McDonald and Carol Taylor.
He will be greatly missed by his family which include his brothers in law, Roy McDonald and Virgil Taylor; nieces Bonnie Aranyos (Andrew), Sharon Olesnanik (Mark), Roxanne Allen (Craig), Terri Holmes (Charles), and Darlene Smith, Kim Sculley (Steve),; nephews, John McDonald (Belinda), Jeff Taylor (Sue), Phil Taylor (Laurie), Kevin Taylor (Dawn); and many great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pleasant Ridge Manor for their care and concern for their uncle Mac.
