Mary Ann Tuschak, 88, of Girard, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.
Mary Ann was born on January 19, 1937, in Erie, PA, a daughter to the late John and Mary (Vereb) Pacansky.
Mary Ann graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1955. Following high school, she worked at General Electric until she and her husband began raising a family, at which time she worked locally at Girard Dinor and Westway Bowling Lanes to help support her family. The care she had for her young family continued throughout her life, even as grandchildren were born. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister. Mary Ann was a member of the American Legion Post #494 Auxiliary. She loved to play bingo and travel with her husband, often going to the casino. The casino was a final stop in years of playing cards, Mary Ann hosted friends and family in her home to play rummy, poker, and black jack, and she loved to win in these cards games. She also took the time to teach her young grandchildren to play as well.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, George T. Tuschak, whom she married on April 25, 1959 and a granddaughter, Sarah Suzanne Bogart.
Mary Ann will be greatly missed by her family, which includes her daughters, Mary Beth (Jim) Michael and Suzanne M. (Scott) Bogart; son, Tim (Ann) Tuschak; brother, Thomas (Beverly) Pacansky; grandchildren, TJ Michael, Carolyn (Matthew) Perales, Zachary (Amber) Bogart, Alex Bogart, Ryan Bogart, Sam Bogart, Morgan Tuschak, Marshall Tuschak, and Kya Tuschak; great grandchildren, Lillian, Charlotte, Josh, Cole, and Riley; and many nieces and nephews.
