Mary Camery Obituary

Mary Lou (Veiger) Camery, 71, of East Springfield, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 29, 1955, in Erie, to the late Edward J. Veiger and Arlene Mary (Webber) Ream.

Mary attended Rice Avenue Union High School and, following her education, she started her family and became a homemaker until her children were out of school. After that, she began working at Marx Toys and Engineering Plastics, where she worked as a laborer in both shops. She later became a home health aide and continued in that role until her retirement in 2022.

In her free time, Mary loved staying at home, playing 500 Rummy, Uno, and Yahtzee, watching game shows on television, and watching airplanes fly in and out of Cleveland Airport on her phone. Most of all, Mary loved her family deeply and cherished babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever she could.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Camery Sr.; sisters, Norma Jean Veiger and Baby Girl Ream; and her grandson, Tyler Martin.

Mary will be deeply missed by her family, including her daughters, Dorothy McGowen and Tanya Orr (Ed); her son, Kenneth Camery Jr.; her grandchildren, Ed Orr Jr. (Breanna), Aleasha Robinson (Adrian), Timothy Martin, and Ariel Guy (John); as well as her great-grandchildren, Leanna Orr, Brody Orr, Peyton Wood, Dominic Wood, and Gavin Wood.
