Marjorie (Shed) Fullerton, 100, died on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home.
Marjorie was born on December 17, 1920 in Yeager, OK, a daughter of the late James T. and Marie (Willoughby) Shed.
She graduated from Sasakwa High School in Sasakwa, OK in 1938. Following high school she attended East Central College in Ada, OK. In 1941, she moved with her family to Nashville, TN, where she lived until entering the U.S. Navy Waves. She attended boot camp at Hunter College, Bronx, NY, then served as Pharmacist Mate at Balboa Hospital in San Diego, CA and Naval Air Technical Center in Chicago, IL.
Following her honorable discharge from the Navy, she married William M. Fullerton on June 27, 1946 in Girard where they made their home.
She worked for EMSCO Group in Girard for 28 Years in Accounts Receivable and the Credit Department, retiring from there in 1986. She also worked for Hook's Gallery in Fairview for ten years.
She was a member of the Girard United Methodist Church, the Albion Chapter #22 Order of the Eastern Star, formerly Past Matron of Girard Chapter #84, District Deputy Grand Matron of District 1-A of the Grand Chapter of PA, Grand Representative to North Carolina in PA and many other Grand Chapter appointments.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Fullerton.
She is survived by four sons, Frederic S. Fullerton and Charmaine Hott of Girard, Dennis W. Fullerton (Linda) of Girard, David M. Fullerton of Erie and James O. Fullerton (Lisa) of San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren, Lori F. Dixon (Bill) of Tucson, AZ, Jamie L. Fullerton of Fullerton, CA and Ty J. Fullerton of New Braunfels, TX; great grandchildren, Aubrey Dixon and Penelope Dixon; a sister, Geneva H. Hall of New Harmony, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main Street East, Girard. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Girard Cemetery with full military honors.
