Margie Ann (Teribery) Curtis, 84, of Albion, died on Friday, January 6, 2023 at her home.
She was born on April 25, 1938, a daughter to the late Walter and Helen (Hart) Teribery. Margie attended school, married and raised 6 children primarily in the Erie area. She prided herself in being a hard worker, holding a variety of jobs during her lifetime. She spent many years working at Spectrum Control in Fairview where she made a number of good friends. After her children were grown, she moved to North Carolina for a time but eventually returned to Albion, PA to be near family and friends. In her later years, Margie liked to keep busy and often volunteered to help neighbors with whatever she could - walking dogs, taking out trash or delivering home cooked food. She lived in an elderly community where she enjoyed organizing picnics and parties to bring the neighborhood together to get to know one another. She loved animals and always had at least one small dog as a constant companion. Her favorite was a stray she adopted named Charlie. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, gardening and participating in building projects in and around her home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Leslie (Les) Teribery, Kenneth Teribery, Fredrick Teribery, Roger Teribery, Frank Teribery and Raymond Teribery; sisters, Louise (Eileen) McKelvey, Dora Rink, Pansy Archer and Orpha Simmons; grandchildren, Tracy Denham, Jeremy Sargent and Anthony Heasley.
She will be greatly missed by her family which include her sons, Walter F. Sargent III (Julia) and Daniel W. Sargent (Sarah); daughters, Dalma J. Barr, Louwanda J. Landis (Mitch), Eileen S. Richardson (Gary) and Mary H. Meikle (Ralph); brothers, George and Robert Teribery; twelve grandchildren; many great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Federated Church, 11995 Main St., East Springfield, PA 16411 on Monday, January 30th at 11:00 am , officiated by Pastor Ed Huntley.
