Margaret L. Suscheck

Margaret L. Suscheck, 97, of Girard, died on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at her home. 
  
Margaret was born on February 22, 1925 to Metro and Mary (Chaban) Suscheck and was raised along with her siblings on the family farm in Pont, near Albion. She graduated from Albion High School in 1944.  After graduation Margaret was employed at the Watral Restaurant in Albion and the Wave Restaurant in Sharon, PA, where she worked for over 50 years.  Margaret moved to Girard following her retirement, as she wanted to be near her family. 
  
She was a member of the Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Edinboro, PA and a member of the Altar Society.  Margaret loved to dance, especially to polkas. 

She loved making pierogies and cabbage rolls with the Altar Society women.  She was very involved with her neighbors at Elk Valley Manor. 
  
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann (John) DePauw of Escondido, CA, grandchildren, Brandon DePauw and Darren (Faith) Brehm; great grandchildren, Sophia and Teagan Brehm; brother, John Suscheck; and many nieces and nephews. 
  
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Ann Stickner, Alice Suscheck, Katherine Ryan; brothers, William Suscheck, Harry Suscheck and Andy Suscheck.

Friends may call on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 4 to 7 pm at Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St., East, Girard, PA 16417.  A Panchida Service will begin there at 7:00 pm. Visitation will be at Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 25636 North Mosiertown Road, Edinboro on Saturday, August 13 at 10:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am, officiated by Father Daniel Mathewson. 
  
Burial will take place in the Saints Peter & Paul Orthodox Cemetery. 
  
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Saints Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 25626 N. Mosiertown Road, Edinboro, PA 16412.
