Margaret Clement Obituary

Margaret “Peggy” L. (Streich) Clement, 82, of Cranesville, died on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Edinboro Manor.
Peggy was born January 8, 1939, a daughter to the late Walter P. and Dorothy B. (Mayes) Streich.

She graduated from Ridgway High School in 1956.  Following high school, she enrolled in training to become a Registered Nurse.  She began her working career at WCA Hospital in Jamestown, NY.  Following the birth of her first child, she made the choice to be a full-time mother.  In 1961 after being born again, with the Lord directing them, Peggy and her family moved to Memphis, TN.  In Memphis she worked at the Baptist Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse finishing in the coronary care unit.  After moving back to the Erie area, she continued working as a Nurse at Pleasant Ridge Manor, instructing nurse’s aides in the field.

Peggy was an active member of the Cranesville Bible Church where she taught Sunday School, and was involved in the Ladies Missionary Fellowship there for many years.  Peggy and her husband Jim were instrumental in the establishment of the Cranesville Christian Academy where she helped in the preparation of many lunches for the school children.  She also worked closely with Awana Children’s Ministries.  Peggy was musically talented and enjoyed playing the violin.  She loved to spend time in nature taking cross country hikes with her family as well as camping.  She was a crossword puzzle enthusiast.  Some of her greatest joys were spent with children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed golfing with her hubby and family, watching the kid’s sports activities, and singing 4-part harmony with them.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by a sister, Jacqueline Streich; and a great-grandchild, Ethan Weston in infancy.
She will be greatly missed by her family which includes her husband, James Clement, whom she married on October 17, 1959 in Ridgway; a daughter, Lorraine Zinnamosca (Brian); three sons, Kenneth Clement (Tammy), David Clement (Mylinda) and Steven Clement (Deadra); a sister, Rae (Betty) Manno; fifteen grandchildren, Bobby Weston, Josh Weston (Lauren), Rachael Rector (Jody), James Clement, Anne  Clement, Elizabeth “Libby” Clement, Andrew Clement, Ella Clement, Katy Clement, Alyssa Clement, Jenna Clement, Cara Zinnamosca, Joel Zinnamosca, Jillian Zinnamosca, and Dereck Zinnamosca; eight great-grandchildren, Genna Weston, Ava Weston, Jorrie Weston, Josephine Weston, Imogene Weston, Amelia Weston, Hannah Rector and Grace Rector.
