Obituary

Marcia Wilkosz-Reeher, 80 of Fairview died on Friday June 2, 2023 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born February 14, 1943 a daughter to the late Stanley and Jenny (Kopcinski) Wilkosz.

Marcia graduated from Academy High School in 1961. Initially, she dedicated herself to building a family and embraced the role of a devoted stay-at-home mother. However, as her children grew older, Marcia decided to utilize her clerical skills and ventured into the professional realm. Throughout the years, Marcia employed her talents in various companies, leaving her mark at GAF, Copes Vulcan, and eventually concluding her career at Pleasant Ridge Manor, where she retired following a job well done.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and took pleasure in organizing and hosting delightful family gatherings that brought everyone together. These moments of togetherness were particularly cherished, as they provided an opportunity for laughter, conversation, and the sharing of stories. Marcia remained deeply connected to her Polish heritage, maintaining her membership in the Polish National Alliance throughout her life as well her ability to speak the language. Marcia had a wonderful sense of humor that she applied generously throughout her life and particularly during the more difficult times.  She had a very strong love of nature and animals and was a frequent rescuer of the latter.  Additionally, she took regular walks through nature. Her favorite mornings were meeting at dawn at the beach with her children and her "adopted"children Laura and Mark, to run all their dogs before breakfast. One event that Marcia eagerly anticipated each year was the Polka Christmas Party, a festive occasion where lively dancing and contagious laughter prevailed.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Reeher, her son Ronald Roscinski II; and her brother, Jack Wilkosz.

She will be greatly missed by her family which include her daughters, Michelle Roscinski and Bonnie Roscinski-Thomas (Hoyt); grandchildren, Amanda Castro (Jason), Luke Moore, Zion Davis, and Riley Rose. No matter where Marcia was, she carried with her a very comfortable, loving presence and she will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her and being privy to her wonderful smile. We lost a great one, my friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Anna Shelter 1555 E 10th St, Erie, PA 16511

With her wishes no calling hours will be observed.
