Linda Louise (Idzojtic) (Lyons) Sciaretta, 72, of Fairview, PA reunited with her soulmate Jimmy on Friday, February 5, 2021 surrounded by her loving family and friend, Auslynn.
Linda was born in Rochester, PA, on February 25, 1948 and raised in Conway, PA by her parents, Nickolas and Sara (Vulgris) Idzojtic.
She attended Freedom High School in Rochester, PA. Linda and her husband trained thoroughbreds for over 35 years at numerous race tracks including Commodore Downs in Erie, Mountaineer Park in WV, Thistledown in OH, and Keystone Racetrack in Philadelphia. Linda worked as a waitress for many years at local restaurants including The Hitchin' Post in Fairview and the All Aboard Diner in Lake City before retiring in 2014.
Linda always had a kind smile and touched everyone in her presence. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved spending time with her family and neighborhood kids, and especially her great-grandson. She enjoyed sitting many hours on the front porch watching the birds and other wildlife, playing cards with her son-in-law, and watching her favorite soap operas.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded by her loving husband James Sciaretta, and brothers, Robert Idzojtic and Nick Idzojtic.
She will be greatly missed by countless friends and family, including her baby sister, Cindy Brawdy and her husband Jim, in-laws and friends, Jack and Shirley Ball, great-grandson Indy and his mother Raechel Tang, and daughter, Kim Ball and her husband John. She also leaves behind her grandson, James Turner, whom she loved very much.
She will be remembered for her deep brown eyes, infectious smile, and beautiful soul. She judged no one. Be kind to one another. We'll see you on the other side Linda Lou.
