Lawrence Frederick Hudacky, 57, of Albion, died suddenly on Saturday, December 7, 2024 following a brain aneurysm.
He was born June 20, 1967, a son to the late John and Charlotte (Vogt) Hudacky.
Larry grew up in Albion always looking after those closest to him. In his adolescence, he worked at Crowley's Restaurant for many years. Larry purchased rental property at the age of 18, which he still owned and operated until his last day of life. Larry traveled across many states while working on the pipeline and also the Chicago Airport. He began Lockport Excavating as a teenager that later became Larry Hudacky Excavating. Larry had a true talent for excavating and he loved the work deeply. In addition to his work behind equipment, he also worked at Summit Township for 27 years.
Larry kept a close circle of friends and family and he was always generous with his time, energy, and expertise; willingly helping anyone in need - often the first person to offer help, whether needed it or asked. Larry worked hard, played hard, and set an example of a kind, caring, and selfless man. He had a heart of gold and the most original smile and laugh. For many years he was an active volunteer at the Albion Area Fair Grounds, and for several years he acted as superintendent of the Pulling Track, where he played a key role in the construction of the new pulling track. He had a mechanical and creative mind that bore a talent for fabricating for vehicles, four wheelers, side by sides, snow mobiles and more; all of which he enjoyed operating, adventuring, and ultimately began collecting.
Above all else, Larry’s favorite hobby was spending quality time with family and friends. Larry had a love larger than life for his wife, children, and many pets. His family, friends, and pets were by his side, always, keeping him centered and content. He was a member of the Edinboro McKean VFW Post #740, Albion VFW Post #736, and the Albion Moose Lodge #381.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Richard Hudacky.
He will be deeply missed by his friends and family which include his wife, Theresa (MacDonald) Hudacky whom he married on October 30, 1999; daughter, Mariah Hudacky; son, Kevin Cassidy; brothers, Michael Hudacky (Melissa) and Kirk Hudacky (Jenna); sister, Sara Crane (Frosty); close family friends, Brent Crane and Judy Alward; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
