Lassie Lunsford

  Lassie (Hobbs) Lunsford, 71, formally of Detroit, MI died at her home following a battle with cancer. 

  She was born February 5, 1951 a daughter to the late Cecil R. and Thirsie (Artrip) Hobbs.
Lassie attended high school in Detroit, following her education she began tending bar at multiple places throughout the years in Detroit. She continued this work for twenty years until she returned to schooling to become a Dental Assistant. Lassie then worked with Doctor Emery Toth as his assistant until her retirement. 

  She loved to cook and bake, often making dinners from scratch. Her family could find her at the kitchen table hard at work on a new art project. Lassie was known to make jokes and she enjoyed her time spent with grandkids. She also enjoyed reading, mainly romances and mystery novels. Lassie was very out going and could talk to almost anyone. 

  In addition to her parents Lassie was preceded in death by her brother, Cecil R. Hobbs Jr. 

  She will be greatly missed by her family which include her son, William "Rusty" R. Hobbs (Kimberly); sisters, Debbie Hobbs and Shebbie Hobbs; and a grandson, Clayton E. Thompson. 

Services are to be held by the family.
