Larry S. Skowronski

Larry S. Skowronski, 80, of Girard, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at UPMC Hamot.
   He was born on November 27, 1941, a son of the late Stanley and Helen (Carson) Skowronski. 
 Larry graduated from Erie Technical High School in 1959 and was in the US Army Reserves for nine years where he was honorably discharged as a Corporal.  
 He worked in North East for six years at the North East Breeze as a printer and at the Erie Times News, later known as Times Publishing Company. Most recently he was employed as their Technical Director, retiring in 2004.  
  Larry enjoyed listening to country music and traveling to Country & Western concerts, and spending time outdoors watching the multitude of animals. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.  
  In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Judith "Judie" (Lucas) Grimshaw Skowronski in 2016, a brother, Don Skowronski and a grandson, Zackery Swan in 2006.   
  Larry is survived by his loving family which include his daughters, Michelle Luke (Eric), Cheryl Phillips (Bill), Denise Swan (Francis); son, Larry Skowronski, Jr. (Gloria); stepdaughter, Penelope S. Lybrook (Ron); stepson, Donald M. Grimshaw (Rose); sister, Janice Fisherowski (Tom); sister-in-law, Anne Skowronski; his grandchildren, Kelly, Blaine, Kimberly, Stephen, Brett, Angela, Rachel, Shawn, Elizabeth, Rebekah, Sarah and Larry III; step grandchildren, Brandi, Dustin, Michael III, Katlin and Ben; 22 great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren also many nieces and nephews and his former spouse, Sandy Skowronski.
  Friends may call on Friday from 5PM to the time of the Prayer Service at 7PM at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main Street East, Girard.
