Kim D. Noyes, 68, of Conneautville, passed away peacefully at his home with his wife by his side on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from a rare, debilitating disease called Amyloidosis.
He was born January 12, 1957, a son to the late Harry “Bud” and Nancy (Dewey) Noyes.
Kim was a graduate of McDowell High School. In his younger years, he was an accomplished gymnast. Later in life, he used his experience to teach children gymnastics. He had a deep appreciation for nature, offering his family a firsthand experience in raising livestock at their home in Waterford. In the summer, he often took his family camping at Oil Creek Campground and Cooks Forest.
Kim's love for nature extended into his work as a landscaper. Rather than simply cutting grass, he focused on transforming land into beautiful, scenic spaces. As the owner of Kim’s Family Services, he was self-employed from 1985 until his retirement.
Kim had a passion for the written word, with a particular love for poetry. He wrote and published a short poetry book titled Life is Good. Prior to his illness, he was very active in Erie's poetry scene. He was involved in many area poetry projects, to name a couple: Poetry on the Radio and Campfire Poetry. Kim loved to gather with like-minded individuals who read and appreciated wise and fluid verse.
In the style of the old Westerns he loved, Kim played the harmonica, filling quiet afternoons with music for his grandchildren and family. He was known by name at local bakeries and chocolatiers. He and his wife enjoyed long bike rides at Presque Isle together as well.
Kim had a fascination with worldly hats and crewel embroidery, often adding to his collection with finds from yard sales. He also took great pride in planting and tending a vegetable garden. Kim was deeply religious, delving into the word of God at his home and encouraging his family to seek out their path in this world.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Alvin Stahl in infancy.
Kim will be greatly missed by his family which includes his wife of 38 years, Geralyn (Schultz) Noyes, whom he married on November 20, 1986; daughter, Avery Stahl (Nolan); sons, Eric Noyes and Neil Noyes (Karlee Allen); sister, Lorri Bland (Alan); and grandchildren, Aiden, Abel, and Arthur Stahl.
Friends may call on Saturday April 5, 2025 from 11:00 am to the time of Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at the Edder Family Funeral Home LLC. 309 Main St. E. Girard.
