Katrina "Trina" Michael, born on a date sworn to secrecy, has ended her courageous battle on June 30, 2024 - but she didn't leave without a fight. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania and residing in Platea, she became the voice of Platea Borough. Serving over 20 years as a borough council member; currently president, and a lifetime member of the Platea Volunteer Fire Company, where she earned many titles. She rightfully became an advocate for her small town. Her commitment to the community is something that she graciously gave and never expected anything in return. The fire department was her pride and joy. She was the treasurer, an EMT, and former Assistant Chief. She can be remembered for being the 'tiny blonde' in the tanker. Trina proved herself to many firemen and has proudly earned the titles she received. If the tones dropped, chances are Trina was there.
Trina was supported through this battle in life by her husband of 40 years, Steven Michael; a son who was a bright light in her eye, Steven Michael Jr.; a daughter who she adored, Kristen Reinwald and her husband, Trina's "bum", Kyle as well as their newly born child, Kinley - Trina's first granddaughter. Additionally, her mother, Sherry Ullom (Bob Harrington); brother, William "Buddy" Logan (Kim); sister, Korena States (LeRoy), stepbrothers, Craig, Todd, and Kirk; half-brothers, Adam and Kyle; along with stepmother, Gloria Logan; special friends, Stan Freeland and Lyne Daniels, as well as many extended family members, including those of both fire and blood.
Trina will be joining, with open arms, her stepdad, William "Bill" Ullom; her dad, William Logan; grandmother, Gladys Harris; and in-laws, Fred and Mary Rose Michael.
Services will be held at Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main Street E, Girard, PA with visitation on Monday, July 8th from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 6:00 - 8:00pm; to be followed by a funeral service, Tuesday at 10:00am with a burial in the most appropriate place, Platea Cemetery, where she'll continue to keep watch over her town.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Platea Volunteer Fire Company, 10012 Maple Street, Platea, PA 16417.
