Josephine Kibler Byham, 90, of Lake City, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 22, 2025.
She was born on July 6, 1934, in Lake City, to the late Theodore and Eila (Wellar) Kibler.
Josephine graduated from Rice Avenue Union High School in 1952. Following high school, she began her family with her husband, and together they farmed Concord grape vineyards and apple orchards on three family farms, including the 1882 Kibler-Byham Century Farm located at their current residence. She loved caring for her home, cooking, and, most of all, cherished her family.
She was a devoted member of the Lake City Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder, participated on the Board of Session and ran the kitchen for all luncheons and other church activities.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Byham Sr.; sons, Stephen Byham, David Byham, and Eric Byham; and her two sisters, Carol Burke and Marjorie Robertson.
Josephine leaves behind her loving family, including her daughters, Susan Laskowski, Brenda Byham, and Laura Byham-Gray (Steven); sons, William "Bill" M. Byham Jr. (Tammy), Theodore "Ted" Byham (Trina), and Mark Byham (Deidra); grandchildren, Katherine Weaver (Amber), Robert Laskowski, Jennifer Laskowski, Michael Laskowski, Erin Gray, Jillian Gray, Brittany Morehouse (Jerome), Samantha Hernandez (Victor), Willow Vanderhoof (Josh), Courtney Conn (Tyler), Cassidy Zoellner (Ethan), Blake Byham (Meagan), and Carly Byham; as well as twelve great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Josephine’s name may be made to the Lake City Presbyterian Church, 10088 Seeley Street, Lake City, PA 16423.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Edder Family Funeral Home, LLC, 309 Main Street East, Girard, PA 16417. Additional calling hours will be held the following morning, Friday, June 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake City Presbyterian Church, 10088 Seeley Street, Lake City. Words of committal and burial will follow at Girard Cemetery.
