Jeffery Arnold Avlon

Jeffery Arnold Avlon, 76, of Fairview died on Thursday December 21, 2023.

He was born November 9, 1947 to the late Virginia (Asher) and Spiros Avlonitis.

Jeffery known as Arnie to some was a family man, he cared deeply for those closest to him and showed it. He was very proud of his Greek heritage and held his genealogy and his time spent in New York City in high regard.

Arnie was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 16. Though this health event was very serious for many years he was able to continue and live an incredibly full life with the people around him. He loved his children and grandchildren; he was very proud of each of them and enjoyed a good dad joke. He would boast their accomplishments to any that would listen. Arnie also collected many things, holding them in safe keeping.

He will be greatly missed by his family which include his daughters, Ellen Rublee and Karen Sullivan (Kevin); a son, Glen Avlon (Jackie); and grandchildren, Trevor Bennett, Caleb Avlon and Logan Sullivan.

A funeral service will be held at the River Valley Baptist Church, Ansonia Connecticut. Burial will take place at ST. John Cemetery, Darien, CT
