Jeff H. Stemple

Jeff H. Stemple, 59, of Cranesville, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026.

He was born September 21, 1966, a son of James Stemple and Judy (Mohr) Smith.

Jeff graduated from Northwestern High School and went on to enlist in the United States Navy Reserves. He was deployed during Operation Desert Storm. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the Erie area and began working at H & H Machine Products. Jeff remained there for over 20 years, serving as a foreman and CNC machinist. After his time in machining, he discovered a love for the open road and became an over-the-road truck driver, a career he truly enjoyed.

A true “country boy” at heart, Jeff grew up working on and assisting with local farms. He loved the kind of work country life required — fixing machinery, tending to animals, and working the land. When his children were young, they often camped out in the pasture, spending time together and creating their own fun.

Throughout the years, Jeff had plenty of “toys,” including motorcycles, side-by-sides, and four-wheelers. He built lasting friendships through shared experiences and adventures. Each fall, he enjoyed hunting with family, building memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Jeff could have a short fuse when things went awry, but he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a man who spoke his mind openly and honestly, and above all, he deeply loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Stemple, and a niece, Koreena Hemstreet.

Jeff will be greatly missed by his family, including his daughters, Nicole Thomas (Willie) and Courtney Stemple (Jesse); his son, Terence “T.J.” Stemple (Ciaira); his sister, Peggy Crowe (Terry); his brothers, John Stemple (Bev) and Theodore Hemstreet (Stacy); and his grandchildren, EmaLynne Stemple-Alexander, Aaliyah Blank, Rosaleigh Stemple, Abbigail Stemple, and Haelynn Stemple. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at Edder Family Funeral Home, 309 Main Street E, Girard, PA 16417.
