Jean Marie Rexford

Jean Rexford passed away peacefully on December 19, 2023 at her cottage home in East Springfield, PA with her loving husband by her side.  She was born in Erie PA on February 1, 1937, a daughter of the late Anthony and Sadie Scalise Santos. 

Jean attended the Franklin Center one room schoolhouse and graduated from Edinboro High School.  She was a loving wife and was married to her husband David for 64 years.  She love their cottage home on Lake Erie in the summer and the winter home in Port St. Lucie Florida. 

She was preceded in death by her brother and wife, Robert and Marge Santos and her brother-in-law, Ken Rexford.

Jean will be dearly missed by her husband, David and her children, Gary (Kim) Rexford, Connie (Brian) Eckstein and Claudine (Kary) Valentine; her grandchildren, Cory Rexford, Brandon (Cindy) Eckstein, Samantha Eckstein, Claire and Mitchell Valentine, Becca Jeziorski and Drew (Erin) Jeziorski, along with four great grandchildren, Christopher Eckstein, Lillian, William and Tanner Jeziorski. 

Jean is also survived by her twin sister, Joan Bucho; sisters-in-laws, Mary Connelly, Julie Hurst, Jean Tozzi and her brothers-in-laws, Jim (Bev) Rexford, Steve (Barb) Rexford, Paul (Betty) Rexford, Mike (Brenda) Rexford, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.  

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2024. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made in her memory to UPMC Family Hospice, 1700 Peach St. #244, Erie, PA 16501, Holy Cross Catholic Church, 7100 West Ridge Road, Fairview, PA 16415 or to West County Paramedics 6852 Meadville Rd, Girard, PA 16417.
