Janet Mary Rose

Janet Mary Rose, 91, of Erie and formerly of Kirtland, OH, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at West lake Woods.
She was born in Erie, November 6, 1932, a daughter of the late Isabel Walford Rose.
Janet was raised and educated in Spartansburg, PA, where she graduated from the Spartansburg High School in 1950, where she was Salutatorian of her class. She continued with her education, in Meadville at the Meadville Nursing School, where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. Following her education she and her twin sister, Jane moved to the Cleveland, Ohio area where they both worked for Wade Park Veterans Hospital, retiring in 1987 following 40 years of taking care of our nation's veterans.
 She was a member of the Lakeland Ladies Investment Club, enjoyed painting and taking long walks with her sister.
 In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Jane M. Rose in 2014; sister, Virginia Albers in 2016; a brother, Kenneth W. Rose in 2001; a nieces, Falisa Minnick in 2018 and Rose Marie Albers in 2010; nephews, William J. Albers in 2019, Douglas Albers in infancy,and Emery Jonathan Albers.
Her family includes a sister, Shirlee A. Blystone of Wattsburg; a nephew, Norman Blystone (Karen) of Wattsburg and numerous other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard on Wednesday from 11AM to the time of the funeral service at 12:00 Noon, with her cousin, Rev. Edwin Rose officiating.
Burial will be in the South Kirtland Cemetery, next to her beloved sister.
