Jake Raubenstrauch Obituary

Jake Raubenstrauch, 27, of Girard, passed away on July 30, 2026.

He was born on February 14, 1999, the son of Lindsey Hagerty and Jeff Raubenstrauch.

Jake was a graduate of Girard High School, where he played basketball and baseball throughout his school years. He continued education at Robert Morris University studying mechanical engineering. However, Jake found his comfort in hospitality and had a real passion for bartending. He enjoyed meeting new people, seeing old friends, surrounding himself with fun, laughter, and love. Jake had a handsome smile that lit up a room, making people feel welcome and find comfort.

As an adult, Jake continued to play sports and many activities. He really enjoyed playing darts and kickball, making close friendships and special bonds through the years. From a young age, Jake was enthralled by sports and statistics. He loved collecting player cards and had an incredible ability to recite players’ statistics and information as he watched the game. Every year and each fall, Jake and his mom looked forward to “Sunday Fundays”, where they spent enjoying NFL football, watching the games of the day surrounded by family and friends, and if you were a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, you probably had an invite. When winter arrived, his attention turned to the NBA and the teams and players he followed so closely. He was also an avid music lover and collected vinyl records.

More than anything, Jake cherished the time he spent with his family. He loved talking, visiting, and simply being together. In the evenings, he could often be found sitting fireside, telling stories and enjoying the company of those around him. He maintained a close group of childhood friends throughout his life, and whenever possible, he looked forward to making a trip to camp with them, creating the kind of memories that would last a lifetime. Jake always looked forward to his annual camping trip with Grandpa Ron and Grandma Donna to Maryland for a family reunion.

Jake was the oldest of his cousins and took that role to heart. He cared deeply for them and was always willing to help in any way he could. Since Jake was an only child for many years, he loved being the “big brother” to all the younger cousins. When he became an older brother, to Regan and Rilan he also took that role to heart, guiding and loving them. His love for his mother was especially evident, and the bond they shared was one he treasured dearly. Jake also had a special place in his heart for dogs, having loved and cared for several throughout the years. Among them, his favorite was Stew.

Jake will be remembered for his love of sports, his loyalty to his friends, his devotion to his family, and the time he gave so freely to those he loved. His presence brought companionship, laughter, conversation, and countless memories to the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sharon Hagerty; his uncle, Dennis Haynes, fraternal aunt Robin Maciak, and cousin Jessica Hart.

He will be deeply missed by his mother, Lindsey Hagerty; aunts, Shannon Fortsch (John) and Aubrea Hagerty-Haynes; Brittany Zielinski (Derek); uncle, Terry Hagerty (Gwen); maternal grandparents, Herm Hagerty (Jackie); father, Jeff Raubenstrauch (Heather); sisters Regan and Rilan; aunts Dana Moses (Eric); uncle Dan Maciak; fraternal grandparents Ron and Donna Raubenstrauch, as well as many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
