Jack A. Keith

Jack A. Keith, 100, of Girard, passed away on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Jack was born June 6,1923 in Girard, son of the late Charles and Lois (Ward) Keith. He enlisted into the US Army during WWll, where he served in the 515th Parachute Infantry in the European Theatre.  Jack loved hunting and fishing but especially winning a game of Rook. He always had a song in his heart and was ready to sing a hymn to anyone, anywhere.  More than anything, his greatest joy was found serving God, loving his family, and honoring his country. Jack was also a faithful member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Girard.

Jack was preceded in death in 2014 by his wife Margaret, married 67 years, 3 great grandchildren, 4 brothers, and 1 sister.

Jack will be dearly missed by his family, including 3 daughters, Darleen Hovis, Karen Cressman (Bill), and Cindy Scott (Sam); 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; and will be missed by many special friends and extended family. 

Friends may call on Thursday at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main Street East, Girard, Pa from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm and are invited to attend services on Friday at 11am at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 1414 Lake Street., Girard with Rev. Tim Halbig and Rev. Allen Thorpe officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Bethel Assembly of God Church or the Albion Assembly of God Church, 11311 PA-18, Albion, PA 16401.
