Esther M McKee

Esther M. (Gable) McKee, 91, died on Saturday December 9, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital 

Esther was born March 29, 1932 in Cambelltown, PA (Lebanon County), a daughter of the late James W. and Eva (Noecker) Gable.

Graduated from Womelsdorf High School in 1950.  She was the member of the band, orchestra and chorus for four years and was also selected Prom Queen in her junior and senior years. 

She moved to Erie in 1971 and later operated a Molly Maid Franchise for a period of time, retiring in the early 90's.  She also worked for the Visiting Nurses Association.

Esther enjoyed most sports, including swimming, ice skating, track and field.  She enjoyed big band music and loved to cook, read, and travel throughout the United States. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. McKee, whom she married December 12, 1970, also by sisters, Arlene Gable and Eva Brown and brothers, Lawson and Martin Gable.
Her family includes her son, Lewis Hinkle (Linda) of Girard; her daughter, Rebecca Reagle (Joanna) of Mckean;  two step daughters, Deborah Rock (John) of Fairport, NY and Pamela Goetz (Dennis) of Rochester, NY ; two step sons, Frank McKee (Abbey) of Webster, NY and Mark McKee of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Kimberly Acri (Greg), Christopher Hinkle, Josiah Reagle (Betsy), Stephen Reagle (Trisha); several step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
