Erika Shay Mininger, 32, of Girard, lost her battle with addiction on Thursday December 16, 2021.
Erika was born on October 17, 1989 to Daniel and Valerie (Victor) Mininger. Erika graduated from Girard High School in 2007. Following high school, she attended Edinboro University for three years studying Psychology.
Erika often spent time looking after young children of close friends finding joy in being able to help. Erika was a great encouragement to many friends. She went out of her way to share and be kind to many people going through hardships. Erika’s own troubles did not interfere with her lending a hand to those in need. Whether it was words of encouragement, money, food or a place to stay, Erika gave whatever she had even though she had little herself.
Erika was preceded in death by her sister, Ashley Victor; her brother Jacob Mininger; her uncle Bill Victor; her grandparents, William and Shirley Victor as well as Marvin and Irene Mininger; her cousins Brian Lemerise and Joey Benton.
She will be greatly missed by her family which includes her parents; her sister Carla (Mininger) Dombrowski and her husband Anthony, their son Logan of Rome N.Y.; her brother, Levi Mininger at home; her beloved cat, Charlie; her aunts, Allison (Victor) Rocca and her husband Will of Cullman, AL.; Darlene (Victor) Julio and her husband Keith of Erie; Tina (Mininger) Benton and her husband Brian of Albion and Darlene (Mininger) Lemerise of Madison, OH.; along with many cousins, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers please donate your time, support and friendship to those in need.
Family and close friends may call at the Edder Funeral Home Inc. Girard on Sunday December 19, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. to the time of memorial service at 6:00 P.M.
