Eric Braden

Eric S. Braden, 72, of Fairview, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on April 17, 1954, Eric was the son of the late Harold and Bernice (Lutton) Braden. He was a 1972 graduate of General McLane High School and continued his education at Gannon University.

Throughout his life, Eric was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to tackle any challenge. He began his career with Zurn Industries, where he traveled throughout the United States servicing, building, reinstalling, and reprogramming industrial air systems for major automotive manufacturers, including Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler. He later worked for Modern Industrial Heat Treat. Over the years, he held several other positions before concluding his career in maintenance at Logistics Plus.

Eric was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting whitetail deer and turkey throughout Pennsylvania. He was also a dedicated shooting sports enthusiast who spent countless hours at local gun clubs and took great pride in reloading his own ammunition. Whether in the woods, on the range, or following NASCAR and sprint car racing, Eric found joy in the hobbies he loved and the friendships he made along the way.

He was a member of the 400 Club, the Black Ash Club in Guys Mills, and the St. Francis Ushers Club, where he enjoyed the camaraderie and friendships formed over the years.

Eric was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda (Borawski) Braden, whom he married in 1989; his daughter, Erica Braden; and his brother, Alan H. Braden.

He is survived by his daughter, Ryann Braden and her companion, Adam; his grandson, Howard Scott Braden; his sisters, Rebecca Chase (Brian) and Sara Hubbell; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

In accordance with Eric's wishes, a private service will be held at a later date.
