Edward "Skip" Francis Farrell

  Edward “Skip” Francis Farrell, 75, of Lake City, left his loved ones and friends heartbroken as he passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital. 
  Skip was born January 22, 1947 in Erie, a son to the late Edward J. and Elizabeth (Samokar) Farrell. 
  He attended Wattsburg High School, until he started work as a mechanic with his uncle at Farrell’s automotive. Learning the trade and how to turn a wrench, he quickly excelled and began work at Erie Industrial Trucks as a road mechanic. Skip stayed there until his retirement in 2006. 
  Skip loved NASCAR, especially the drivers Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and his son, Dale Jr. He held onto a signature series Dale Earnhardt Monte Carlo 1 of 25 until 2017. Skip enjoyed working on engines both at work and his home. He had looked to restore multiple vehicles. Skip also enjoyed watching football, particularly the Pittsburgh Steelers or under duress of his wife, the Buffalo Bills. 
  In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his step-mother, Florence Farrell and a nephew, Jay Watkins. 
  He will be greatly missed by his family which include his wife, Susan I. (Rupp) Farrell whom he married April 11, 1996 in Meadville; daughters, Christine Heaven (Gary), Tracy Boyles (Jeff), Julie Struzynski, Theresa Haft (Tom) and Beth Lawrence (Ray); step-children, Diane Farrell, Larry DeLand and Gary Semon (Melanie); sisters, Vicki Bertges (Dave), Barb Watkins and Becky Anderson (Paul); brother, Mike Farrell; grandchildren, Adam Wolfram, Timothy Wolfram (Marissa), Brianna McGrath (Kevin), Keyan Dibello, Donnie Herrmann (Julia), Krishelle Johnson (Ronald), Nicholas and Jacob Struzynski, John Juliano, Jessica Buck (Frank), Arica Bujnowski (Joe), Megan, Brianna, Blake and Brooke Semon; 19 great-grandchildren; dear friends, Carol and Jim, Cindy and Jim and Julianne S; the best neighbors, Bryan, Tara and Mia; Chris, Lisa and the boys; as well as many nieces and nephews. 
  Friends may call on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. E. Girard, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to the time of service at 7:00 pm. A private burial will follow.
